Job summary

Together Housing Group is seeking a Performance Analyst on a 3-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of extension. You will work on large, complex datasets to develop analytical solutions and provide evidence-based recommendations that influence service delivery.

Reporting to the Business Improvement Team, you’ll design and improve data infrastructure, create engaging visualisations, and present findings to managers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience preparing and presenting complex analytical information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with large relational databases and information systems.
  • Strong knowledge of R, Matlab or SAS.
  • Knowledge of SSAS, SSIS and SSRS.
  • Experience with data mining and analytical technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust data and BI infrastructure across the Group.
  • Carry out complex data analysis and predictive modelling to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Work with large relational databases and information systems using SSIS/SSAS/SSRS.
  • Apply statistical techniques to test hypotheses and develop practical solutions.
  • Identify data quality issues and improve accuracy and reliability of information.
  • Explore new data sources to strengthen organisational insight and support decision-making.
  • Develop models and algorithms to test new approaches and outcomes.
  • Create clear data visualisations to turn complex information into actionable insights.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Support Heads of Service to develop business cases and demonstrate impact of changes.
  • Help develop a culture where data is recognised as an asset.
  • Contribute to development of the Group’s Data Warehouse and information systems.

Job description

Are you a data-driven problem solver who enjoys turning complex information into meaningful insight and practical recommendations? We’re looking for a Performance Analyst to join our Business Improvement Team on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping us make better, evidence-based decisions across Together Housing Group. You’ll work with large and complex datasets, develop analytical solutions and use your expertise to identify trends, test new approaches and provide insight that can directly influence how we deliver our services.

Working closely with Heads of Service, senior managers and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help develop our data and business intelligence infrastructure, improve data quality and bring information to life through effective analysis and visualisation.

What You’ll Be Doing…
  • Develop and maintain robust data and business intelligence infrastructure across the Group.
  • Carry out complex data analysis, research and predictive modelling to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Work with large relational databases and information systems, using tools such as SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
  • Use statistical and analytical techniques to test hypotheses, validate findings and develop practical solutions.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with teams to improve the accuracy, consistency and reliability of information.
  • Explore new internal and external data sources to strengthen organisational insight and support better decision-making.
  • Develop models, scenarios and algorithms to test new approaches and understand potential outcomes.
  • Create clear and engaging data visualisations that turn complex information into something meaningful and accessible.
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to managers, senior managers and other stakeholders.
  • Support Heads of Service to develop business cases and demonstrate the impact of proposed changes.
  • Help develop a culture where data is recognised as an important organisational asset.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Group’s Data Warehouse and wider information systems.
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has…
  • Strong experience preparing and presenting complex analytical information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Experience solving analytical problems through detailed research, investigation and evidence-based approaches.
  • Experience working with large relational databases and information systems.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical software such as R, Matlab or SAS.
  • A good understanding of database management, data mining and analytical technologies, including SSAS, SSIS and SSRS.
  • Knowledge and experience of algorithms, predictive analysis and experimental design.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools to communicate complex findings clearly.
  • Experience of database administration and development.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Salary: £33,758 per annum (£17.54 per hour)
  • Office Base: Wakefield or Halifax
  • Following your initial onboarding period, you will be expected to attend one of the offices one day per week, with the remainder of your working week spent working from home.
  • This is a 37-hour per week role, offering a flexible approach to working patterns and locations to support a healthy work-life balance.
