Job summary

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom – Hays Professional Services are recruiting a People & Training Lead for a growing organisation, permanent, full-time.

The role focuses on delivering people and learning initiatives across the business, working with managers to ensure compliant, scalable processes while supporting growth and integration activities such as acquisitions. You’ll lead on onboarding, performance management and employee development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR or People role.
• Exposure to learning and development activities.
• Experience supporting organisational change, acquisitions, TUPE or integration activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
• CIPD Level 3 or above, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the organisation’s People and Training strategy.
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations and people matters.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, induction and probation processes.
• Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
• Assist with organisational change, acquisitions, employee integration and communications.
• Monitor and support learning and development activities across the business.
• Support the full employee life cycle, including exit interviews and retention initiatives.
• Analyse people data and provide insights to support decision-making.
