Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced People Support TUPE & Acquisition Supervisor to lead TUPE In, TUPE Out and acquisition payroll activities, ensuring accurate transfers and timely deadlines. You’ll head the TUPE & Acquisitions team with stakeholders across HR, Finance and IT to deliver a precise payroll service.

The role focuses on payroll transfers, data quality, and continuous improvement, offering exposure to mobilisation activities and change delivery within a leading facilities management

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of TUPE In, TUPE Out and acquisition payroll processes.
• Experience leading, coaching or coordinating teams, with ability to manage changing workloads.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements from diagnosis through testing and benefits review.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll/HR systems; SAP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of TUPE In, TUPE Out and acquisition payroll activity, monitoring milestones and data quality.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to the TUPE & Acquisitions team, including resource planning and development.
• Act as first point of escalation for complex payroll queries and risks, resolving issues.
• Build relationships with HR, Finance, IT, mobilisation teams and other payroll stakeholders.
• Drive end-to-end process improvements across TUPE and acquisitions to strengthen controls.

We're looking for an experienced People Support TUPE & Acquisition Supervisor to lead the day-to-day delivery of TUPE In, TUPE Out and acquisition payroll activity, ensuring employee transfers are completed accurately and in line with key deadlines. You'll lead and develop the TUPE & Acquisitions team while working closely with HR, Finance, IT, mobilisation teams, the Bid Team and other stakeholders to deliver an accurate payroll service and positive employee experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of all TUPE In, TUPE Out and acquisition payroll activity, monitoring key milestones, data quality, risks and dependencies to ensure transfers are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide clear day-to-day leadership to the TUPE & Acquisitions team, including work allocation, resource planning, coaching, one-to-ones, appraisals, training and development.
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex payroll queries, delivery risks, data issues and stakeholder concerns, taking ownership through to resolution.
• Build effective relationships with HR, Finance, IT, mobilisation teams, contract stakeholders, incumbent providers and other payroll teams to support successful employee transfers.
• Lead continuous improvement across end-to-end TUPE and acquisition processes, using data, colleague feedback, audit findings and root-cause analysis to strengthen controls, reduce manual activity and improve service delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Practical knowledge of TUPE In, TUPE Out and acquisition payroll processes, supported by strong payroll administration knowledge.
• Previous experience of leading, coaching or coordinating colleagues, with the ability to set priorities and manage changing workloads.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering process improvements from initial diagnosis through to testing, implementation and benefits review.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll or HR systems, ideally including SAP or an equivalent platform.
