Job summary

Butlin's Minehead is seeking a People Partner to act as a trusted advisor to employees and Managers, champion our culture and guide leaders through everyday people operations in a resort environment.

You will manage resort-based case work, develop a people plan with leaders, and collaborate with Recruitment, L&D, Internal Comms and Payroll & Reward to ensure timely, compliant actions and a positive employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Previous demonstratable experience in a People/ HR role/leadership role.
• Good ER and employment law knowledge.
• Demonstratable experience of coaching leaders to take account.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and can adapt quickly to changing requirements.
• A CIPD qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Improve team engagement and reduce LTO.
• Handle resort-based employee relations matters and coaching for leaders.
• Manage day-to-day HR queries and partner with leaders across departments.
• Collaborate with Recruitment, L&D, Internal Comms and Payroll & Reward to plan HR activities.
• Maintain all business org charts and conduct weekly business partner meetings.
• Run exit interviews and identify trends to drive actions.

Description

We are looking for a People Partner to join our Minehead People Team to act as a trusted advisor to employees and Managers. In this role , you will champion our company culture, enhance employee lifecycle experience and Guide leaders through everyday people operations.

Responsible for supporting all people activity on the resort, working closely and partnering with leaders from across all areas to develop a people plan for both reactive and proactive people activity.

You will then work closely with specialists within the wider People Team to ensure any actions or activity is managed effectively. This will involve working with Recruitment, L&D, Internal Comms and Payroll & Reward to ensure we have future sight of any key requirements and can work effectively to support the team.

You will also manage any resort based case work which is varied in topic and complexity, supporting and coaching leaders through this and acting as a trusted advisor to team.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to be based on resort for the working week to ensure you’re accessible to team and Leaders

Key Responsibilities

• Improved team engagement.
• Reduction in LTO.
• Proactively managed ER cases.
• Responsibility for all day-to-day HR queries for our Resort
• Responsibility for coaching and supporting Leaders through a range of employee relations matters including LTS, Absence and Performance matters.
• Working on business strategies, HR Challenges and HR plans that can help the business with Senior leaders and key stakeholders.
• Responsibility for supporting all employee engagement tasks.
• Responsibility for working alongside the specialists within the People Team to create an action-based People Plan for Hemel encompassing areas in ER, Recruitment, L&D, Internal Comms etc.
• To maintain all business org charts.
• Responsible for liaising and holding weekly business partnering with HODs and Managers.
• To run and monitor exit interviews and examine trends and set actions to improve
• To issue any changes to contract terms alongside our payroll team
• To work alongside ER specialists/ lawyers to manage any more complex case work when needed
• Analysing human resource metrics and comparing results to key performance indicators

Experience & Qualification Requirements
