Job Description:

People Operations & Policy Manager

6-month FTC

Glasgow, 3 days on site

Iconic Resourcing HR are working with an established business, who constantly work at pace and who are seeking a People Operations & Policy Manager to support and lead a dedicated team, during a period of transition on a 6-month FTC basis. You'll be stepping in at a critical time, offering stability, driving process improvement, and ensuring the smooth delivery of core people services across the business.

Day to day you will:

  • Lead a team across people operations, including payroll coordination, monthly reconciliations and employee lifecycle administration.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and support to a developing team during a time of change.
  • Take ownership of the relationship with an outsourced payroll provider—you won’t run payroll, but you’ll need to speak the language and confidently hold them to account.
  • Drive policy development and ensure best practice in employment relations.
  • Improve processes and identify smarter ways of working—manual spreadsheet tasks need refining, and your experience will help modernise and streamline.
  • Support change projects, including simplification and restructuring initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • An experienced People Operations or HR Services Manager, with a strong grasp of people policy, payroll oversight, and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team—especially through times of flux.
  • Comfortable operating at pace and juggling high volumes with precision and care.
  • A collaborative leader who can “wrap their arms” around a team and provide calm, structured support.
  • Ideally from a FMCG or similarly fast-paced environment, but open to those who thrive on variety and momentum.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, policy compliance, and change management.

To apply for this role, please send your CV or contact Emma Pringle at Iconic Resourcing for a confidential chat and further details. At Iconic Resourcing, we understand that not all candidates will meet every single desired qualification or skill for the job positions posted on behalf of our clients. However, if you believe that you can add value to the role despite your experience looking a little different from what we've identified, we would be thrilled to learn more about you.

We work with many businesses that recognise the importance of creating a welcoming and respectful workplace for all employees. As an equal opportunities’ employer, we treat all applications fairly and equally.
