Job summary

Tem-Energy Limited is seeking a People Operations Partner to join our Performance team. You’ll own payroll end to end across UK and employer-of-record employees, and you’ll build automations and AI-enabled workflows that connect Rippling, Notion, Linear, Slack, Ashby, n8n and Google Workspace.

You’ll also scale core People operations from onboarding to offboarding while maintaining accurate data and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in People Operations, People Services or HR Operations, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
• Payroll experience including UK fundamentals (PAYE, RTI, pension auto-enrolment) or ability to learn quickly.
• Comfort with technology, automation, and using data to diagnose problems and make decisions.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and balance efficiency with empathy in People Operations.
• Willingness to move across People disciplines (reward, pensions, benefits, performance, engagement) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run payroll end to end for UK and EOR employees, handling changes, corrections, off-cycle payments, contractor payroll and country-specific items.
• Manage employee lifecycle: onboarding, changes, contracts, documentation, leave, mobility, and offboarding.
• Design and implement automations and lightweight AI workflows to connect systems (Rippling, Notion, Linear, Slack, Ashby, n8n, Google Workspace).
• Own and evolve the People tech stack, evaluate new tools, and simplify architecture.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Talent and Performance to deliver scalable People services and dashboards.
• Answer employee and manager queries with a clear response standard, avoiding handoffs.
