About the role
This is a varied and customer-focused role where no two days are likely to be the same. You’ll provide first-line guidance on standard People policies and procedures, helping employees, managers and candidates understand their options, responsibilities and next steps.
You’ll manage and prioritise your own caseload against agreed service standards and deadlines, keeping customers informed and taking ownership of enquiries through to resolution wherever possible. Where specialist support is required, you’ll make effective handovers while continuing to ensure a joined-up customer experience.
Accuracy and attention to detail will be essential. You’ll maintain confidential People records, complete routine checks, prepare payroll inputs, support audits and contribute to quality and service improvements. You’ll work closely with colleagues across People Operations, Payroll, Talent and Resourcing, People Advisory, People Partnering, People Systems and Vetting and Compliance.
What you’ll be doing
Handle personal and special-category information securely and in line with data protection and confidentiality requirements, including supporting the coordination, collation and timely handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
Respond professionally to sensitive or complex enquiries, helping customers understand options, next steps and available support.
You’ll be someone who
Experience of processing DBS, right-to-work, references, employment-history, BPSS, HMPPS or other pre-employment checks would be advantageous. Experience working within a charity, education, criminal justice or another regulated environment would also be desirable, as would experience supporting audits, Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), quality checks or process improvement activity.
A CIPD Level 3, business administration qualification or equivalent practical learning would also be desirable.
At Nacro, we believe in the power of a diverse and inclusive team. We are a Ban the Box employer and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including those with criminal records.
