Job summary

Co-op in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated Customer Team Leader to guide a small store team, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. You’ll be active on the shop floor and in the bakery, driving merchandising, stock accuracy and the Co-op membership offer.

You’ll lead by example, foster a positive team culture, and engage with the local community while supporting store growth and a high standard of wellbeing for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
