Job summary

Leeds Building Society in Leeds is seeking a data analyst to turn workforce data into clear, actionable insight. You’ll interpret monthly trends, identify risks and opportunities, and help senior leaders understand what the data means and what actions should follow.

You’ll coordinate Data Subject Access Requests, maintain governance processes, and ensure data quality, integrity and regulatory compliance across the Society.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll turn workforce data into clear, compelling insight that informs strategic and operational decisions. Working closely with the People Data Analyst, you’ll interpret monthly trends, identify risks and opportunities, and help leaders understand what the data means, why it matters and what action should follow.

You’ll also coordinate Data Subject Access Requests and maintain core data governance processes, helping to safeguard data quality, integrity and regulatory compliance across the Society.

What will you bring to the role?

• Proven experience in data analysis and insight generation, ideally involving workforce or people metrics.
• The ability to translate complex data into clear, engaging recommendations and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders to ensure information is easy to understand and act on.
• Strong curiosity and stakeholder skills, with the ability to understand and challenge business requirements.
• Experience capturing, cleansing and combining information from multiple sources to produce robust analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound statistical knowledge and a practical approach to resolving data issues.
• Confidence using Power BI dashboards and Excel to interpret outputs and challenge data quality.
• Familiarity with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, data subject rights and records‑retention requirements.
