Job summary

TEAM is recruiting a People & Culture Manager to own the HR agenda for a fast-growing, privately owned business employing around 100 staff across the North of the UK. Reporting to the MD and sitting on the management team, you’ll shape performance, management capability and HR processes.

This newly created role offers hybrid working, with a Wetherby base and travel to the East Midlands; a 30-hour part-time option is also available, along with a bonus scheme and supportive leadership to

Qualifications

  • Generalist HR experience in a management/partnering role.
  • Employee relations knowledge to advise on complex matters.
  • Experience implementing performance management and KPI frameworks.
  • Proven coaching to improve management capability.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce practical performance management, appraisal, one-to-one and KPI frameworks that improve accountability and results.
  • Coach managers throughout the employee lifecycle, strengthening their ability to handle day-to-day employment matters effectively.
  • Provide hands-on employee relations advice and manage more complex workplace issues.
  • Improve HR policies, processes and systems to provide the structure needed for continued organisational growth.
  • Support recruitment, engagement and organisational development while identifying opportunities to strengthen performance.
  • Mentor and develop the existing HR administrator while acting as a credible HR partner to the management team.

Job description

As the People & Culture Manager, you'll have the influence and autonomy to improve performance, strengthen management capability and shape how a successful privately owned business develops.

This is a newly created position within an organisation employing around 100 staff across the North of the UK. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the management team, you'll take ownership of the HR agenda while introducing practical processes that support continued growth.

A 30-hour part-time arrangement is also available. Hybrid working is offered, with a Wetherby base and travel to the East Midlands office as required.

What we're looking for in a People & Culture Manager
  • Strong generalist HR experience gained within an HR management, business partnering or comparable senior HR position
  • Demonstrable employee relations knowledge, including the ability to advise managers on complex employment matters
  • Experience introducing or improving performance management, appraisal and KPI frameworks
  • Evidence of coaching and influencing managers while improving management capability
