Job summary

Cranfield University is seeking a Data Analyst - People to deliver high-quality workforce data, analysis and reporting across the People & Culture team. You will support evidence-based decision-making, workforce planning and inclusion initiatives through data-driven insights.

The role focuses on analytics, statutory reporting and sector benchmarking, including HESA returns and FOI requests, with collaboration across university functions to ensure data governance and timely insights.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in data analytics or related field.
• Significant experience in people analytics, workforce reporting and data analysis, ideally in Higher Education.
• Experience with statutory returns and benchmarking (HESA/UECA) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workforce analytics, statutory reporting and benchmarking data to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Analyse and interpret people-related data, identify trends and provide insights for workforce planning and inclusion initiatives.
• Collaborate across People & Culture, Payroll and IT to ensure data quality, governance and timely reporting.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting processes and data-driven decision-making.
