Leigh Academies Trust is seeking a practical People Advisor to join our Central Services People team. You will provide high-quality HR advice alongside our People Partners, balancing case ownership with smooth operational delivery.

This full-time role offers autonomy on ER casework, data handling in iTrent, and support through TUPE and organisational change, helping staff feel supported and processes run efficiently across our trusts.

Qualifications

• HR advisory experience with UK employment law and ER casework.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (iTrent preferred) and ticketing systems.
• Ability to provide plain-English advice to managers with a human-centred approach.
• Attention to payroll updates, data management and confidential records.
• Proactive team player contributing to equity, diversity, inclusion and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advisory support to line managers and staff via the Halo helpdesk.
• Guide managers through ER casework, including grievances and disciplinaries.
• Maintain accurate HR data in iTrent and handle payroll-impacting changes.
• Produce reports on absence, turnover and trends to inform interventions.
• Support organisational change, restructures and TUPE processes.
