Job summary

Focus Group is seeking a People Advisor to act as the go-to expert on employee relations and day-to-day people advice across the Group. You will work hybrid from Shoreham-by-Sea, supporting managers and collaborating with People Business Partners on strategic projects.

With 3+ years HR generalist experience and CIPD qualification, you’ll handle ER cases, build manager capability, and contribute to People initiatives while supporting acquisitions and integration activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years solid HR generalist experience across the employee lifecycle.
• Confidence managing complex ER cases and advising managers at all levels.
• A coaching mindset — building manager capability, not dependency.
• A data-driven, analytical approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
• CIPD qualified, or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of expertise for employee relations matters, coaching and supporting managers at all levels to build their own confidence and capability.
• Support the People Business Partners on wider projects that shape the people agenda, using data and insight to track impact and make evidence-based recommendations.
