Job summary

River Island Clothing Co., Ltd. is seeking a People Advisor for a 6 Month FTC at our Head Office in London. The role supports the People Partnering team to develop robust people plans that drive performance and capabilities across teams.

You will advise on HR policy, coach managers, and work with COEs to ensure effective delivery of people processes and policies. You will collaborate with managers to ensure engagement and performance cycles are managed, while building trusted partnerships and

Qualifications

• Experience advising on HR policy and process across the full employee lifecycle.
• Ability to coach line managers and develop their skills for self-sufficiency.
• Ability to source, analyse and share data insights to identify trends and drive actions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on HR policy and process at employee and manager level, through the full employee lifecycle, tailoring approaches within the guidelines to drive best possible outcomes for both the individual and the business.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the business model, its priorities and challenges, to respond to people issues with business outcomes in mind.
• Develop understanding of HR specialisms and when to collaborate with COEs for best employee experience and business needs.
• Collaborate across the people team to support annual processes like pay review and performance cycles.
• Coach line managers and develop their skills to be self-sufficient in people management scenarios.
• Contribute to creating a performance-led culture with clear performance standards and fair evaluation.
• Mentor People Operations Advisors for 1st line support queries.
• Source, analyse and hare data insights to identify trends and recommend actions.
