Job summary

Universal Music Group UK in London is seeking a proactive People Adviser to deliver expert HR guidance, employee relations, absence and parental leave processes, and wellbeing support under UK employment law.

You will partner with line managers and leaders to drive performance, absence management, onboarding and benefits administration, ensuring inclusive practices and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the PIC team and managers.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, absence management, and parental leave rights.
• CIPD qualification and UK HR experience preferred.
• Experience managing absence and liaising with occupational health services.
• Proficient with HRIS systems; Workday experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice and guidance to employee relations, absence and parental leave processes.
• Support occupational health and wellbeing and coordinate with Health & Safety teams.
• Assist in probation reviews, visa checks, and right-to-work verifications.
• Coordinate data reporting, salary benchmarking, and benefits information with the Rewards team.
• Manage flexible working requests and onboarding activities.
• Support change management and employee engagement initiatives.
