We are looking for a Full Time People Advisor to join our team in Thatcham. As a HR People Advisor, you will partner with the People Officer and operate as a true generalist, managing the day-to-day running of the HR department at the site.

Role details:

Salary: £37,500 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week

Working pattern: Monday-Friday - Flexibility on Times

Location: Gist Thatcham, RG19 4BQ

What you’ll do:

• Ensuring the operational success and development of the HR department, working closely alongside senior site management
• Heavy involvement in employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance issues
• Absence management
• Delivery of induction training for new starters, updating welcome pack information
• Ensuring all HR administration tasks are carried out - e.g., starters, leavers, referencing, security, and compliance checks
• Assist with recruitment and selection on site

Who you are:

• Experience within a similar People/HR Advisory/Officer role
• Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards
• Experience in FMCG, logistics, or supply chain sectors is desirable, as well as exposure to unionised environments
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
