Job summary

Samworth Brothers is seeking a People Advisor for a 9-12 month, part-time job share at our Radar Road Warehouse in Leicester, working Mondays and Tuesdays plus one midweek day. You’ll partner with site managers to provide practical advice and coaching on people matters to boost engagement, performance and wellbeing.

This role includes supporting absence and performance issues, using data to spot trends, and collaborating with the wider People Team on priorities.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 3 in People Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience advising and coaching line managers on a range of people matters.
  • Experience managing employee relations and long-term absence cases.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage your own workload.
  • Understanding of People systems and reporting; training will be given.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first contact for People questions from line managers.
  • Advise on policies, processes and day-to-day People issues.
  • Coach managers to build capability and confidence in managing teams.

About The Role

9-12 months Part time job share opportunity. Monday and Tuesday, plus either Wednesday or Thursday. We can offer some flexibility around start and finish times to support work and travel requirements

As a People Advisor, you'll partner with managers across multiple sites, supporting them to lead their teams effectively and confidently. You'll provide practical advice and coaching on a wide range of people matters, helping to drive engagement, performance and colleague wellbeing.

As part of this job share opportunity, you'll provide People support for our Radar Road Warehouse, working three days per week. There will also be occasional travel to our Northern depot locations to support colleagues and managers across the wider operation when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be the first contact for People questions from line managers.
  • Giving clear advice on policies, processes and day‑to‑day People issues.
  • Coaching managers to build capability and confidence in managing their teams.
  • Helping managers handle absence, performance issues and other employee relations matters.
  • Using People data to spot trends and help managers make improvements.
  • Supporting engagement, wellbeing and the Culture Framework.
  • Working with the wider People Team on projects and business priorities.
About You
