Job description

The successful candidate will play an integral role in driving engagement across the business and building long-standing relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert HR guidance and support to managers and colleagues, ensuring alignment with policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
  2. Act as the main contact for managers on probation reviews, performance management, absence management, etc.
  3. Support managers with employee cases, offering practical, people-centered solutions.
  4. Foster an inclusive workplace culture by promoting equal opportunities, colleague development, and engagement.
  5. Ensure policies and procedures are fit for purpose and aligned with company values.
  6. Lead or support projects in areas like Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, Rewards and Benefits, and Employee Engagement.
  7. Assist Senior People Partners on projects such as TUPE, organizational change, and new business integrations.
  8. Manage and support the benefits offering, ensuring schemes are competitive and accurately processed.
  9. Analyze HR data to provide insights and solutions for HR or operational projects.
  10. Stay updated on employment law and implement changes effectively.

The role is primarily remote, with occasional attendance required at our Cardiff or Newport offices.

Requirements
  • CIPD qualification (desirable)
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
  • Experience working as a HR Advisor or similar role
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Passion for colleague experience and engagement
  • Resilient, adaptable, and open to change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of employment law; payroll knowledge is a plus

Ideally, the candidate will have experience in:

  • Employee relations and case management
  • Report writing and management information
  • HR project implementation
  • Policy development and improvement
  • Applying employment law changes
  • Using HR systems for data extraction and analysis
