Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Coastland College is seeking a proactive People Administrator to join its People Team. You will provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance, while maintaining accurate records in iTrent and other systems.
The role offers a flexible and varied environment, enabling development across recruitment, learning and development, and People operations. A strong focus on customer service and collaboration will be essential.
Be the Heart of Our People Services Team
At Coastland College, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
We are investing in our people, culture and capability to create an exceptional place to work, learn and grow. We believe that by supporting our colleagues to thrive, we can inspire excellence in every learner, strengthen our communities and help shape a confident, resilient and future-ready Dorset.
We are looking for enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused People Administrator to join our growing People Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, supportive and forward-thinking People Team at a time of significant investment and positive change.
As a People Administrator, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient, professional and customer-focused People Service, supporting colleagues and managers across the College.
Working across the full range of People Services activities, you will provide administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and onboarding, employee administration, learning and development, compliance activities, workforce data and wider People Team projects.
No two days will be the same. One day you could be supporting recruitment activity and onboarding new colleagues, while the next you could be coordinating training, preparing employment documentation, updating workforce records or supporting compliance and safeguarding processes.
Designed to offer flexibility and variety, this role will provide opportunities to develop skills and experience across all areas of the People function. Depending on business need, you may support recruitment, people operations, learning and development, compliance or wider People Team initiatives.
Experience within HR, recruitment, employee administration, learning and development or People Services would be advantageous. However, just as important is a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
Interview Dates: Week commencing 19 October 2026, although interviews may be brought forward where suitable candidates are identified.
