Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Pensions & Treasury Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will support the Head of Pensions and Treasury in providing accounting and reporting services for the authority's pension fund and treasury management functions, including the preparation of pension fund annual accounts and treasury management notes to the Council's statement of accounts.

The postholder will also support the Council's daily pension fund and treasury management activities, including daily cashflow management and providing instructions and information to treasury advisors and pension fund service providers, including investment and actuarial advisors.

Candidate Criteria

• CCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant or Equivalent
• Experience in treasury and cash flow management for large organizations, preferably in the public sector
• Experience in preparing notes for annual accounts/statement of accounts
• Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team
