Job summary

Cafcass is hiring a Pensions, Benefits and Payroll Officer (0.5 FTE) to join the Payroll and Benefits team in the UK. The role offers flexible / hybrid working and locations including Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or Coventry, with a pro-rata salary band of £29,883 - £31,678.

You will support the administration of pensions, benefits and payroll, ensuring accurate, timely and helpful support for colleagues across Cafcass.

Qualifications

• Experience in pensions or payroll administration in a public or large organisation.
• Experience of staff benefits administration.
• Strong numerical and data handling skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook, and payroll systems.
• Commitment to confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Input routine pension changes and notifications to the West Yorkshire Pension Fund online portal with accurate pay information.
• Support monthly pension processing, including auto-enrolment activity.
• Administer employee benefits, including health cash plan arrangements and AVCs.
• Respond to routine pensions, payroll and benefits queries from colleagues and HR teams.
• Provide cover for routine payroll inputting where needed.
• Maintain accurate records, databases and electronic filing systems.
• Assist with reporting, year-end activity, audit information and process reviews.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external providers, including the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.
• Handle sensitive employee, personal and financial information in line with policy.
