Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a Client Manager to lead pension data projects for Data Journey clients. You will manage cross-functional delivery, coordinate client communications, and drive successful outcomes across a portfolio of schemes including DB, DC and CARE.

You will own project scope, timelines and budgets, while seeking improvements and opportunities for service growth. A proactive leadership style and strong stakeholder management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of DB pension schemes and related legislation.
• Experience delivering major pension projects including GMP equalisation and insurer transaction work.
• Track record of managing client relationships and presenting information effectively.
• Experience overseeing projects with responsibility for quality, budget and scope.
• Commercial awareness combined with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• A proactive leadership style with experience motivating and developing colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Define, agree and manage project scope, fees and delivery expectations with clients.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales and budget parameters.
• Maximise commercial performance by monitoring profitability and controlling scope changes.
• Oversee client invoicing to ensure billing reflects completed work.
• Proactively identify opportunities to broaden Data Journey services across clients.
• Contribute to business development and client retention activities.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships across an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Lead planning and coordination of project delivery, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
• Provide coaching, feedback and development support to team members.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and information security requirements.
