Job summary

Hymans Robertson in the UK seeks a Client Manager for the Data Journey team, delivering pensions data projects across DB, DC and CARE portfolios. Based in Birmingham, Edinburgh or Glasgow, you’ll own client-facing delivery, coordinate teams and ensure on-time, compliant outcomes, with a focus on service excellence and business development.

You will build strong client relationships, manage expectations, and drive profitability while mentoring team members and supporting recruitment when needed.

Qualifications

• Honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of defined benefit pensions and legislation including GMP equalisation.
• Proven project delivery within budgets and timelines.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder influence.
• Collaborative leadership and people development.
• Proactive, self-motivated with results focus.

Responsibilities

• Scope, cost and deliver projects to timelines and budget.
• Drive profitability and manage scope creep across the portfolio.
• Prepare client billing and identify new opportunities.
• Promote Data Journey services to clients and internally.
• Support business development and client growth.
• Build and maintain client relationships as main contact.
• Plan and oversee delivery with regular updates.
• Lead by example and develop team members.
• Guide delivery with QA and evidence-based updates.
