Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a knowledgeable Pensions Advisor to support the delivery of pension services across the Firefighters' Pension Scheme (FPS) and the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

You will interpret complex legislation, advise on pension-related matters, and ensure compliance within a highly regulated environment, working with the Payroll and Pension Manager as the pension subject matter expert.

Formación

• Substantial experience in a pension-related role with knowledge of FPS/LGPS
• Ability to interpret complex pension and tax legislation and apply it practically
• Minimum five GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
• Professional membership or vocational qualifications are advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Act as first point of contact for the pension administration provider and monitor service delivery standards
• Provide professional advice to managers, employees, pensioners and scheme members on pension-related matters
• Liaise with external organisations and represent the organisation at pension forums
• Coordinate transfer of pension-related data between stakeholders
• Manage ill-health retirements and appeals for FPS and LGPS members
• Oversee the Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure (IDRP)
• Monitor legislative developments and assist with pension scheme changes and compliance
