Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Pensions Administrator to support the busy Pensions team. You will prepare and update NHS Pension/NEST records and payments via ESR and POL, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Training will be provided, and a focus on excellent customer service is essential. Reporting to the Pensions Team Leader, you will work with Excel and other MS Office tools, build effective working relationships, and ensure timely pension

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment
• Knowledge of payroll & pension procedures is an advantage
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update NHS Pension/NEST records/payments via ESR and POL in line with NHS Pension regulations
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity; respond to queries promptly
• Process pension documents and reports; ensure timely data entry and audit trails
• Provide information and assist with pension membership and contributions queries
• Undertake data cleansing activities related to NHS Pensions
