Job summary

Spence is recruiting a Pensions Administrator in Manchester for a permanent, full-time role. You will manage administration for defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, acting as the main contact for members and trustees while ensuring timely, accurate processing and excellent service.

You will mentor less experienced staff, work to demanding deadlines, and build strong relationships with clients and third parties as part of a rewarding pensions career.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in Defined Benefit pension administration.
• Detailed understanding of defined benefit schemes and UK pensions legislation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under demanding deadlines and targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain administration of pension schemes for trustees.
• Serve as main contact for scheme members and third parties.
• Provide mentoring to less experienced administrators.
• Ensure transactions are completed to high standards within service levels.
• Handle enquiries by phone and written correspondence.
