Overview
As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you’ll be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual administering a portfolio of occupational pension schemes, which could include DB, DC, and Hybrid pensions. You will ensure all tasks and calculations are carried out accurately and promptly. Your responsibilities include allocating cases, performing and checking both automated and manual calculations, drafting and reviewing correspondence and reports, managing pensioner payrolls, and supporting the Client Executive team. You’ll supervise and train up to two pensions administrators, approaching each case with dedication and vigilance to provide the highest level of service to scheme members.
How you'll make an impact
- Carrying out and verifying pension administration tasks and calculations accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal processes, policies, and regulations.
- Managing workload considering peer review timeframes.
- Liaising with scheme members via email, letter, or telephone.
- Preparing and reviewing member correspondence, client reports, managing cashflows, investments/disinvestments, and invoices.
- Handling or reviewing non-standard client/member queries.
- Collaborating with team members and building relationships with supporting teams.
- Providing support and training to team members and assisting the Team Leader.
- Engaging with team members and the Team Leader throughout the day.
- Supporting the Client Executive team and participating in client meetings or pitches if required.
About You
- At least 3 years’ experience in defined benefit/defined contribution pension scheme administration.
- Studying towards or achieved the Pension Management Institute’s CPC qualification.
- Analytical skills with a logical problem-solving approach.
- Accurate data processing, collection, and input skills.
- Strong knowledge of pensions for case peer reviews, ensuring accurate information for scheme members.
- Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines and disclosure requirements.
- Effective communication skills via telephone, letter, and email, with the ability to provide constructive team feedback.
- Teamwork effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
