Job summary

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP in London is seeking a Consultant for our Pensions Actuarial Department. The role balances pensions actuarial and Pensions Risk Transfer work, with flexibility on split according to strengths and interests.

You will join a team of over 150 specialists advising trustees and sponsors on valuations, member options and strategic projects. Training and development are provided within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with 4+ years UK pensions actuarial consulting experience.
• Strong UK pensions technical knowledge across valuations, member options and pensions accounting.
• Awareness of current issues and hot topics in UK pensions industry.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of schemes with diverse client priorities.
• Coordinate actuarial calculations and review analyses with junior team members.
• Take ownership of workstreams with support from senior team members.
• Play a central role in Pensions Risk Transfer through liaising with insurers and managing projects.
• Explore opportunities to rotate into other specialist teams (longevity, GMP equalisation, CD schemes).
• Attend client meetings and contribute to presentations and industry events.
