Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Pension Fund Payroll Officer to support the transition of the pensioner payroll to a new payroll system integrated with the pension administration platform.

The role involves processing monthly pension payments (approx. 16,000), ensuring HMRC submissions and tax payments are accurate, and collaborating with internal teams and external providers to implement new working practices and controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll for a large organisation with high volumes.
• Knowledge of LGPS is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support migration of pensioner payroll to a new system integrated with the pension administration platform, collaborating with internal teams and external providers.
• Process monthly pension payroll activities for ~16,000 payments and ad hoc payments.
• Complete statutory payroll obligations, including HMRC submissions, tax payments, reconciliations, and regulatory returns.
• Maintain payroll records, pensioner updates, mortality tracing, pension increases, over‑payment recovery, and member queries.
