Job summary

Hymans Robertson in Glasgow is seeking a Payroll Administrator on a fixed-term basis to deliver accurate pensioner payroll and cash management for DB, DC and CARE schemes. The role requires strong PAYE knowledge, attention to detail and excellent stakeholder communication.

You will handle payroll processing, tax code updates, payslips, and inquiries while maintaining pensioner records and supporting onboarding for new client services. Hybrid working with two in-office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience of pensioner payroll administration and payroll-related systems.
• Knowledge of PAYE, statutory deductions and HMRC submissions.

Responsibilities

• Process pension payrolls accurately and ensure payments are made on time.
• Calculate and apply PAYE deductions and support HMRC submissions.
• Maintain pensioner records including tax code updates and increases.
• Produce and issue pension payslips and member communications.
• Respond to pension and payroll-related queries from members and stakeholders.
• Manage and reconcile pension payroll bank accounts and cash management.
• Support onboarding of new client pension payroll services.
• Maintain records through scanning, indexing and administration.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers, banking contacts and investment managers as required.
• Contribute to development and improvement of pension payroll services and processes.
• Monitor payroll supplies and support day-to-day running.
• Adhere to Hymans Robertson's information security standards and policies.
