Job summary

Shannon Trust is recruiting a Shannon Trust facilitator to lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programmes at HMP Eastwood Park. You will work with the prison and staff, volunteers and mentors to maximise learning opportunities for people in custody.

Ideally you will have experience in prison settings, with strong relationship-building, resilience and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in adapting to challenging environments is desirable.
• Ability to build relationships with staff and learners.
• Demonstrated resilience and problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and development of prison-based reading and numeracy programmes.
• Maximise opportunities for prisoners to learn to read and improve numeracy.
• Collaborate closely with prison staff, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors.
