Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic children’s nurse to join the Emergency Department on a fixed-term maternity cover. You will deliver high-quality care for children and young people and their families, with flexible patterns to suit maternity cover needs.

You will be supported by the practice development team, participate in the preceptorship programme if newly qualified, and contribute to a compassionate, forward‑thinking ED environment

Qualifications

• Registration with the NMC as a nurse.
• Experience delivering care to children and young people in an ED setting is desirable.
• Willingness to participate in preceptorship and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, family-centered care to children from admission to discharge.
• Support children and families in the ED and paediatric units as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in ongoing learning and development with the practice development team.
