Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Children’s Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department. This role targets nurses with emergency experience or ward-based skills seeking a dynamic learning environment. You will work in a fast-paced ED, contributing to high standards of care and patient safety.

The post emphasises compassionate excellence, mentorship and opportunities to develop clinical practice and research-based change within a supportive team.

Competenze

• Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of an ongoing NMC revalidation.
• UK recognised Degree in Nursing relevant to post.
• Registered Children’s Nurse with current registration.
• Post-graduate qualification related to an area of practice.
• Evidence of achievement on a Nursing and Midwifery, (NMC) approved Mentorship qualification.

Mansioni

• Deliver a patient centred style of practice reflecting the beliefs and values of professional nursing practice within the Emergency Department.
• Independently assess, deliver and evaluate care to a defined caseload of patients.
• Coordinate responsibility for individual clinical areas and proactively resolve problems identified.
• Set and maintain standards of practice and decision making with senior nursing staff.
• Accurately document and report to the multidisciplinary team information regarding patient care.
• Educate and mentor pre-registration and undergraduate nurses and other team members.
