Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Critical Care educator to combine bedside nursing with clinical education. You will lead teaching, develop resources, and support staff while maintaining a clinical caseload.

The role offers opportunities to study for a PG Certificate in Education and requires NMC registration and a recognised paediatric critical care course. You will work across days, nights and weekends to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Evidence of leadership in a paediatric critical care setting.
• Experience in clinical education, supervision and learner assessment.
• NMC registration and paediatric critical care course must be satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and expert care for critically ill children.
• Deliver high-quality, family-centred care within the unit.
• Facilitate learning and development in the clinical environment.
• Support learners and developing staff through their professional journey.
• Identify training and development needs across the service.
• Develop, review and update educational resources and learning materials.
• Deliver and support specialist education programmes in Paediatric Critical Care.
• Promote evidence-based practice and a positive learning culture.
