Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Band 7/6 nurse to lead level 1 paediatric critical care. You will work with the paediatric critical care consultant, matron and senior staff to develop and implement guidelines across paediatric areas.

The role requires leadership, rigorous governance, and collaboration with the paediatric ED team. You will be proactive, innovative, and able to work flexibly to support practice in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Band 6/7 in paediatric critical care.
• Mentorship in Practice or other teaching qualification.
• Awareness of audit or research to improve care.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse for level 1 paediatric critical care.
• Collaborate with the paediatric emergency department team and multi-disciplinary staff.
• Develop and implement guidelines or policies to support paediatric critical care service across paediatric areas.
• Work flexibly to support clinical practice and provide a coordinated and responsive service.
