Job summary
City & County Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated care worker to support a paediatric client with complex needs, including tracheostomy, vent and PEG feeding. You’ll help at school during the day and assist with activities, and provide overnight support to the family, including bedtime routines and airway management.
The role requires experience with children in home and school settings and competence in manual handling/hoisting.
Qualifications
- Experience looking after children with complex needs in home and school settings.
- Experience working in complex care is required.
- Tracheostomy, ventilation and PEG feed management experience is required.
- Knowledge of manual handling and hoisting is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support the paediatric client at school during the day and participate in activities.
- Provide night-time support with bedtime routine and airway management.
- Manage PEG feeding and tracheostomy/ventilation during night.
- Assist with mobility as needed.
