Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group is seeking a Children's Complex Care Assistant to join their team for night shifts. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop skills in complex pediatric care, including ventilation, tracheostomy and PEG management.

Role requires empathy, strong communication with the family, and the ability to address concerns while supporting personal care, mobility and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Previous complex care experience is required.
• Beneficial to have worked with children with challenging behaviours or learning disabilities.
• Ventilator management, tracheostomy and PEG management are preferred; training can be provided for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a child with Cerebral Palsy and a genetic disorder, including personal care, mobility and communication.
• Support ventilation and medical needs as part of daily routines, including medication management.
• Engage empathetically with the patient and family, monitor wellbeing and respond to concerns.
