Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust in Cornwall seeks an experienced Physiotherapist to join our paediatric team delivering services to children and young people with neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

You will work within a multidisciplinary community therapy service, assess and treat infants to young adults, and collaborate with families, schools and partner agencies to promote movement and daily living skills. Excellent communication and independent travel across Cornwall are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy (essential).
• Registration with HCPC (essential).
• Membership of CSP (essential).
• Experience within paediatric neurodisability (essential).
• Ability to travel across Cornwall to other sites (essential).

Responsibilities

• Assess for and deliver evidence-based, holistic care for infants, children and young people with movement disorders.
• Instruct children, families and carers in the use of special equipment and orthoses; set outcome measures.
• Work with multi-agencies to deliver holistic care and coordinate services.
• Prepare Education and Health Care Plan submissions and relevant reports.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to service development and improvement.
