South Hampstead High School, the 2022 Independent Girls’ School of the Year, is seeking an inspiring part-time PE Teacher to cover a maternity leave in our vibrant PE Department.
As a Teacher of PE, you will teach Physical Education to highly motivated and talented pupils from EYFS to the Upper Sixth, delivering a wide range of sports and activities. You will also play a key role in our excellent extra-curricular programme.
Ideally, you will be a qualified teacher with a proven track record. Applications from ECTs are also welcome. Expertise in dance and/or gymnastics would be advantageous. There is potential for a Head of Aesthetics (Gym and Dance) role for a suitable candidate.
The department offers a wide range of opportunities for pupils from Reception to Sixth Form, promoting our aim of sport for all. We provide an extensive extra-curricular programme, including clubs in netball, football, dance, gymnastics, athletics, cross-country, and cricket. Pupils can also participate in recreational activities such as yoga, pilates, run club, strength and conditioning, badminton, trampolining, and volleyball during lunchtimes.
Our facilities include a full-sized sports hall, an outdoor netball court, and access to our Sports Ground on Lymington Road, which features floodlit netball courts, a football pitch, tennis courts, a cricket pitch, a dance studio, a fitness suite, and squash courts.
