Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable PE Teacher to work on a supply basis in secondary schools in Spilsby. This role offers flexible full/part-time daily supply with competitive pay and the chance to work across KS3 and KS4.

The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent, UK classroom experience, strong behaviour management, and an enhanced DBS. This is a great opportunity to lead practical PE, promote healthy lifestyles, and explore longer placements.

PE Teacher – Supply – Secondary School

Location: Spilsby

Salary: £130 – £180 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: Ad-hoc Daily Supply | Full-time / Part-time | Flexible

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable PE Teacher to work on a supply basis in secondary schools in Spilsby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified PE teacher who enjoys variety and wants the flexibility of supply teaching without the commitment of a permanent position.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach engaging PE lessons, encourage students to stay active, and promote teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach practical and classroom-based PE activities where required
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and student participation
• Adapt lessons to suit different abilities and year groups
• Promote teamwork, discipline, confidence, and a positive attitude towards physical activity
• Follow school safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies
• Provide feedback to school staff where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence leading practical lessons and managing groups of students
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
