Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a PE Teacher for a secondary school in Salford, starting after October half term. The role is full-time and long-term through Easter 2027, with daily pay in the £175–£240 range depending on experience.

You will join a supportive PE department, delivering engaging lessons across KS3/KS4 and contributing to extracurricular sport as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching PE within a secondary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Passionate about sport and physical education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Encourage students of all abilities to participate and develop a positive attitude towards physical activity.
• Teach both practical and theoretical aspects of the PE curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular sport where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department.

Start Date: After October Half Term
Duration: October Half Term - Easter 2027
Contract: Full-time, long-term agency position
Salary: £175-£240 per day, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Salford who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to join their team after the October half term.

This is an excellent opportunity for either a male or female PE Teacher looking for a full-time, long-term position running through to Easter 2027.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a supportive PE department and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across the secondary age range.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.


• Encouraging students of all abilities to participate and develop a positive attitude towards physical activity.


• Teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of the PE curriculum.


• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
