Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a PE Teacher for a Salford secondary school, after October half term, for a full-time, long-term position running through to Easter 2027. The role covers KS3 and KS4, with a focus on delivering engaging PE lessons and building strong relationships with students.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, have secondary PE experience, and be capable of managing classes effectively, while showing enthusiasm and energy in every lesson.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Able to deliver engaging lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Passionate about sport and physical education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Encourage participation and develop a positive attitude toward physical activity.
• Teach both practical and theoretical aspects of the PE curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Contribute to extracurricular sport and collaborate with PE colleagues.
