Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Chepstow on a long-term, part-time basis from September 2026.

The role requires planning and delivering PE across KS3/KS4, assessing pupil progress and maintaining a safe learning environment. NQTs are welcome, with competitive pay starting from £172.98 per day for long-term assignments.

Qualifications

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated PE Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity from September 2026?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Chepstow on a long-term, part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to inspire pupils to develop their confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of physical activity. Applications are welcomed from experienced PE Teachers, Early Career Teachers and teachers returning to the profession.

As a PE Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Teach a range of practical sports and physical education activities.

Encourage pupils to develop teamwork, resilience and a positive attitude towards physical activity.

Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

Adapt lessons to meet different learning needs, abilities and levels of confidence.

Maintain a safe, positive and well-managed learning environment.

Contribute to the wider work of the PE department and school community.

The successful PE Teacher will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school.

Have strong subject and curriculum knowledge.

Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour-management skills.

Be confident delivering a range of practical PE lessons.

Be reliable, adaptable and committed to pupil progress.

Be available for a long-term, part-time position from September 2026.

NQTs are welcome to apply and will be considered alongside experienced teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
