Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants for welcoming primary schools across Bath. You will support pupils in KS1 and KS2, working with teachers and staff to foster participation, confidence and learning.

A PE or Sports Science degree is preferred, with transferable skills from sport into the classroom. These short-term roles offer flexible placements, weekly PAYE pay, and opportunities for long-term or permanent transitions within education.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in PE, Sports Science or a related subject.
• Experience working with primary-aged children is beneficial.
• Willingness to develop classroom skills and support learning.

Responsibilities

• Support KS1 and KS2 pupils in classrooms.

Protocol Education is working closely with welcoming primary schools across Bath who are looking for enthusiastic, confident and proactive Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

While this isn't a sports coaching role, schools highly value PE graduates for the transferable skills they bring into the classroom. Your understanding of child development, motivation, teamwork, communication and behaviour management can have a huge impact on children's learning and confidence.

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement)
• CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last 2 years (including childcare references where applicable)
• Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
