Job summary

Planet Recruitment are recruiting for a Wheel Support / PDI Technician to join a busy automotive manufacturing environment in Gaydon. Salary is £14.00 per hour PAYE, with shifts Monday to Thursday 6:15am–3:15pm and Friday 6:15am–11:15am. Immediate starts available.

You will support vehicle build operations, sequence wheels, inspect for defects and ensure high quality before release, working as part of a fast-paced production team.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, production, vehicle preparation or quality inspection.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow production plans.
• Strong teamwork and communication to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily production and launch-to-line plans.
• Organise and sequence wheels for delivery directly to the production line.
• Identify and resolve sequencing issues before wheels reach the fit station.
• Inspect wheels for defects and source suitable alternatives where required.
• Support Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities.
• Carry out visual quality checks and report any defects or concerns.
• Ensure vehicles meet the required quality standards prior to release.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Escalate any issues promptly to minimise disruption to production.
• Work effectively as part of a busy manufacturing and production team.
