Perfect Placement in Derby is seeking an experienced PDI Technician to join a well-established main dealer. This role offers Monday to Friday hours, a competitive salary package up to £42,500 OTE, and ongoing manufacturer training.

You'll perform PDIs, servicing, and fault diagnosis to stringent standards, contributing to safety and presentation. Benefits include holidays, life cover, pension, and career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' practical workshop experience.
• MOT licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Complete servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately.
• Perform visual vehicle health checks.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and prepared to required standards.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and vehicle presentation.
• Work within a busy Aftersales team to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Duties of the PDI Technician:

• Previous experience in PDI, vehicle preparation, servicing, or repairs advantageous


• MOT licence preferable


• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship


• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults


• Reliable, motivated, and a team player


• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
