Job summary

Perfect Placement seeks a skilled PDI / Sales Vehicle Technician to join a reputable family-run car dealership in Haywards Heath. You will perform pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles and handle sales prep work.

The role offers a modern workshop, ongoing training, and a supportive team. Flexible hours between 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm with paid lunch breaks, and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or equivalent.
• Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification.
• Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle diagnostics is highly desirable.
• Strong diagnostic system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Service and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment, including Launch scanners.
• Perform routine maintenance such as brake and tyre repairs.
• Conduct sales prep work for used vehicles.
• Maintain records of diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in vehicle quality control to ensure customer satisfaction.

PDI / Sales Vehicle Technician Duties

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles


• Servicing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards


• Diagnosing vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic equipment, including Launch scanners
