Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced PDI/Prep Technician or Vehicle Technician in Derby. You should have at least 3 years of workshop experience, a Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Role includes performing PDIs, vehicle preparation, servicing, health checks and fault diagnosis. Attractive bonuses, permanent, full-time hours, and ongoing manufacturer training are offered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Complete vehicle preparation, servicing and routine maintenance.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and safety inspections.
• Diagnose and rectify minor mechanical and electrical faults; report defects.
• Ensure vehicles meet required quality standards before handover.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced PDI Technician, Prep Technician, Vehicle Preparation Technician or Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Derby. Applicants must have at least 3 years' workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), a Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points and have the right to work in the UK. An MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential.

Salary: Up to £36,500 Basic | OTE: Up to £42,500

Bonus: Weekly Time Saved and Team Bonus Scheme

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

• Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Prep Technician, Vehicle Preparation Technician or Vehicle Technician
• Experience within a main dealership or independent garage
• Strong mechanical knowledge and vehicle servicing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
• Right to work in the UK
