Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited in Derby is recruiting an experienced PDI/Prep Technician to join a busy main dealership. You will perform pre-delivery inspections, prep vehicles, and conduct health checks to ensure quality before handover.

Requirements include Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, 3+ years in an automotive workshop, a full UK licence with up to six points, and rights to work in the UK. MOT tester licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience within an automotive workshop.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and vehicle servicing skills.
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Complete vehicle preparation, servicing and routine maintenance.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and safety inspections.
• Diagnose and rectify minor mechanical and electrical faults.
• Identify additional repair requirements and report defects.
• Ensure vehicles meet required quality standards before customer handover.
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced PDI Technician, Prep Technician, Vehicle Preparation Technician or Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Derby. Applicants must have at least 3 years' workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), a Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points and have the right to work in the UK. An MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential.

Location: Derby

Salary: Up to£36,500 Basic | OTE: Up to £42,500

Bonus: Weekly Time Saved and Team Bonus Scheme

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

• Right to work in the UK
