Job summary

Arriva Kent & Surrey Limited is seeking experienced bus drivers at the Gillingham depot. The role involves shifting patterns, early/evening/weekend work, and delivering community-focused transport with a strong emphasis on customer service.

You will be expected to hold a PCV licence, be 18+, and meet the driving experience and safety requirements. Overtime opportunities and full training are offered to support career progression.

Qualifications

• PCV Licence or trainee route as required.
• Over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Drug and alcohol test required at driving assessment.
• Weekend work may be required according to rota.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses to transport commuters, shoppers and students on assigned routes.
• Deliver safe, reliable and courteous service at all times.
• Assist customers with boarding, alighting and route information.

Pay Rate

£16.85 - £17.87 per hour Weekdays - £16.85 per hour Overtime - £17.87 per hour

Requirements

• PCV Licence (If you do not have this, please apply to our Trainee Bus Driver role as we can offer all the training you need!)
• You will need to be over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• You will be required to do a drug and alcohol test when you come for a driving assessment. (If you are on any ongoing medication this is fine as long as we have your doctor’s approval that you are fit to drive our lovely buses)
• Will be required to work weekends depending on your rota; however you will know in advance which ones you will be working.
